My computer is saved!!! Almost. Jason took it by a computer repair shop today and they said it was missing a file from the operating system. Puzzling, because I'm not sure how an OS file goes missing, but I'm soooooo thankful there's nothing wrong with my hard drive so all my lovely data is there just waiting to be recovered. The bulk of it is backed up on an external hard drive but there were a few picture albums I would have lost and some songs that would need to be retrieved from itunes. Thank goodness for backups, though, or I would have been in full-on panic mode!
I'm not sure how long it will take to fix, but please bear with me and please don't un-follow me :) For now, here are some blog articles I've enjoyed reading lately:
"The Year of the Butterfly" @ Miss Minimalist. I don't consider myself to be a tree-hugger, but I DO believe we need to be good stewards of the earth God has placed us on...however long that may be. I also don't want my life to be ruled by STUFF. By lightening my possessions I'm lightening my anxieties and the time I spend taking care of my STUFF.
"Buying Fish in a Land-Locked State" @ Real Food in Little Rock. Do you know how to read the labels in order to buy the safest seafood for your family?
"Backing Up Your Blogger Blog and Template" @ The Coffee Shop Blog. Not exactly scintillating reading material, but useful nonetheless. I don't know about you, but after spending a whole afternoon and part of an evening getting my blog template just how I want it, I would cry like a wussy if I lost those changes!
